Fire Egg, Butterfly Lightning
« on: September 30, 2009, 03:17:09 AM »

Daniel Glasheen: Daniel was born in 1975 in England and has been active on various forums since around 2001. He has formed a few different forums before but this is the one he is currently focused on, although he has been very involved in his working life so has not contributed much recently. The value in creating the forum is to create a space where he could express his own inner vision outwardly and allow that to be fluid yet structured and have space to spread out and grow with overt critism. There is a certain structure to the Forum but others are invited to join and share in an exchange of perception and interpretation.

My intention for integrating and creating exchanges on Forums is that each member can potentially bring their own insights to the table and/ or to openly discuss and share the insights of others that represent benevolent intent.

The key is Benevolent Intent - It is worth us all introspecting to see what the Intents are that we have actually aligned to.

Influences in Daniel's Life that have shaped his view of the world: (This will help you work out 'where he is coming from' with his posts)

>>> Daniel has had powerful dreams since he was young and has has explored the more dreamy side to our awareness through paintings, drawings and writings. One dream took place in a very real manner where the sky turned into an Eagle and picked him up by the scruff of his neck as a mother does to a cub. Daniel's deep seeking from an early age has meant he has become aware of the sacred knowledge of the Toltec, and later in life Daniel journeyed to Colombia where he received brief guidance from 2 Shamans about Medicine Wheels and the Animal Medicines of Native American Tribes. As an Artist, Daniel has always explored his more dreamy side in his paintings. He often gives his artwork away and like to explore one to one connections with people, without a 3rd person project an interpretation over that. The interest in people and the connections to people also have an original in the nature of us as Luminous Beings as described in Carlos Castaneda's The Eagle's Gift where the eagles rule is revealed detailing the types of males and females according to the directions and types. Daniel accepted this rule when he was 16 and has been refering to it as either a map or a compass to live his life to.

>>> One other inspiration to Daniel is the TV Series Twin Peaks. One of the main things he liked when he watched it as a 17 year old was the Character Agent Cooper. Daniel for the first time could see animated in a character a man who was completely in touch with the left side (dreaming & intuition) awareness yet at the same time be focused and actively interacting with the world of the right side of awareness (through reason and direct action)

Daniel tries to carry both types of awareness into his life and through his acts, and this Forum is an expression of that where he lends his perception of this through descriptions to share the vision that currently moves through him.

>>> There was another strong influence from a Male Teacher who met Daniel in 1997. A Bermudan man called Lagarmo took it upon himself to help a group of youngsters to try and establish things to do, thus re-directing them away from their destructive habits. This was very important for Daniel because until then he had only read about or seen on TV the sort of way he wanted to conduct himself. It is perhaps so with men that they need to be shown and directed as well as given a description. Lagarmo was himself a woodcarver who made abstract forms out of cedar wood. He was also a very deep and spiritual man himself.

>>> These days Daniel attends collective meditation in London on week day nights and likes the benefits of reaching thoughtless awareness and sharing it with others. Daniel has a strong interest in Sahaja Yoga which he has practiced since 1998 and integrates with the National and International Collective. You can look into Sahaja Yoga online and get a good feel of what it is through your own experience and even make it your own Insight.

>>> In Daniel's working life he works on a contract looking after a portfolio of 65 buildings coordinating the day to day management of certain building services. This is the operational side of the job but recently the job has changed to also link into the Sales Director where he can use some of his ideas and skills for developing and presenting documents. Daniel is a very visual person and has touched on NLP. His interested in Company Structures, Business and Working life has developed more recently. He has a great interest in Innovation relating to Business, Management, Self-Management, Developing People, and is directly involved in re-creating support documentation and information management systems in order to organise & integrate all the Administrative Support for Operational, Sales & Client facing needs.

Little flame of hope...

Surely you have something else for me
I tried to be a servant but it wasn't meant to be
I find myself no better off than when I began my quest
But why to have ones will as a slave to intent
So unfathomable that my shaping has this bent
Does death cut one loose from the slavery of will
All the blind men glorifying mundane ups and down according to each thrill
Simplicity, nature, freedom and humbleness come in small bites
For the Tao to unfold within us and thread us in silence to new heights
The soft flame flickering an almost hidden glow of kindling
A suffocation of will and many posibilities that never became manifest
I no longer believe its about lessons or about some mystic test

Little bites... Small moments feeding the attention through meditation into silence. Receiving the thread. Central and upper becoming the same vortex. Becoming the commandment to be still. Yet... Life-force getting stuck in layers, free-flowing love then great loss and some fears. Echoes of enslaved will pampered and dominated by people unafraid to be transparent. Scared to be seen to be weak. A fragmented self and a depressed will. Be delicate enough to be weak and see it. Let it burn right through and admit it, at least to yourself. It doesn't matter who is watching, listening or present to hear. Say it to the fire. Pour it on like oil... See will weaved through your cocoon. Await flashes of insight from the luminousity of fire. Free from most debts now, undebted through choice of acts and conducted Dharmic action. But are we making new debts now? And yet in these flashes of potential freedom... Loss I guess, deep down.

The fire must not go out

3) The Pyramid of Fire - Return into the Cocoon
« Reply #4 on: October 02, 2009, 03:03:18 AM »
Opening a door and letting in the imagery:

Build yourself a pyramid out of fire Daniel... as part of fire dreaming. I mean build it out of dreaming awareness and set that on fire. Paint it if you like but as long as the dreaming awareness is linked in as the soft form behind the hard form of those canvases. Build that base out of a lynx and the top spot out of the transformed butterfly. Build the south, east, west & north wall out of a horse, elk, antelope & moose... Make it an offering, an offering into the day, an offering into fire and an offering into the sky.

Is this the cocoon of it all?

Outer connectivities, the pyramid made out of our acts, the tipi, the front house, the spirit of will ad the north house on the map... the compass, and the outer orientation to express and connect. A sacrifice of will folding in, collapsing some how like logs on fire, yes folding in and allowing a greater will to feed through.

Cute-ing up the North a bit:

The day squad of the North Totem are in charge of will, the animation of the party. The Knowledge Quest created by the morning squad is not their main concern. The transixation firstly on knowledge and secondly on its debate makes the journeyor morose and then oppinionated. In the North one's playfull mood towards knowledge means that one's own or others' oppinions are disregarded in a moment

The North has a different mood hence I invite blue tits and robins into it to teach me it

Will does eveything, it is the miracle

It manages and coordinates thus resonating a rhythmn

Business as a focus can be quite interesting and let's be honest - someone in the party needs to direct it. But again it can nake the rhythmn dull.

All our Dharmas may be sitting in our West Totem seen by us as we familiarise ourself with our intent. But they need to be placed into the North Totem like chess pieces or playing cards or we may be dictated to by other wills conducting a symphony from a completely different grouping of intents

Hi D, not sure what he meant by this but found this online:

""Dashashwamedh Ghat is located close to "Vishwanath Temple", and is probably the most spectacular ghat. Two Hindu mythologies are associated with it: According to one, Lord Brahma created it to welcome Lord Shiva. According to another, Lord Brahma sacrificed ten horses in a yajna here. A group of priests daily perform in the evening at this ghat "Agni Pooja" (Worship to Fire) wherein a dedication is made to Lord Shiva, River Ganga, Surya (Sun), Agni (Fire), and the whole universe."
