Destiny
During a momentous battle, a Japanese general decided to attack even though his army was greatly outnumbered. He was confident they would win, but his men were filled with doubt. On the way to the battle, they stopped at a religious shrine. After praying with the men, the general took out a coin and said, "I shall now toss this coin. If it is heads, we shall win. If tails, we shall lose. Destiny will now reveal itself."
He threw the coin into the air and all watched intently as it landed. It was heads. The soldiers were so overjoyed and filled with confidence that they vigorously attacked the enemy and were victorious. After the battle, a lieutenant remarked to the general, "No one can change destiny."
"Quite right," the general replied as he showed the lieutenant the coin, which had heads on both sides.

;D
Who better a general than a master of destiny!

Sun Zi has said that best fights the army that has been cornered and faces imminent annihilation. Hence, every commander-in-chief ought to put his troops into such a situation before the battle and make it clear to everyone.
Interestingly, Theun Mares has said something along the very same lines: at the moment of greatest despair, hopes are highest - for when we are cornered, we cannot procrastinate any further and reality dawns on us with extreme clarity.

Reality Rocks! (well, at least mine does!! ;D)

when facing extreme situations we are called to our best.
if we have it within us, what we have within us will save us.
if we do not have it within us, what we do not have will kill us.

Kill and destroy aren't necessarily the same thing, just so you know since you're paraphrasing the Gnostic scripture.

Yep, always liked that one. Its about creating one's destiny, even if having to use trickery to get past the programming of destiny and fate itself.

it is not about liking or disliking. nor is it a point about where it comes from.
the point is whether or not you have the personal power to affect it in your life.
those who do not have the personal power within them stand there making commentary.
