To my reflection in the mirror
I've been looking at you, and
You've been lookin' at me too
How I see you is up to me
How you see me is up to you
Still, it is verily true
that I am I and you are you
Now remember, this
is through a mirrored glass
Things are not reflected
merely by our ears and eyes
but by a deeper
development of mind
Through a looking glass
How reflective!
How kind.
Now, I ask you quite simply
what color is your mind?
When you look quite deeply inside
whom do you then find?
If you cannot look at me quite
honestly and directly
There will be no "me"
for you to find
for I am not outside
of your own mind.
Words are words
dear interpreter of mine
Your interpretations
are completely yours
and mine are
completely mind
and yet you know it's true
that we are
forever entwined
