The Moon and Fourth Way
« on: May 31, 2007, 09:09:42 PM »
I was reading this Fourth Way book, and it said when we die souls go to the moon. There is other interesting connections written in like with the cosmos, Milky Way and their influence. In this section it says:

Q: In what way are we under the influence of the moon?

A: The moon plays a very important part in our life, or rather the life of organic life here on earth.  The moon controls all our movements.  If I move my arm, it is the moon that does it, because without the influence of the moon it cannot happen. The moon is like the weight on an old-fashioned clock and organic life is like a clock mechanism which is kept going by this weight. The action of the moon on our life is purely mechanical. It acts by sheer weight, and receives higher energies which little by little make it alive. If you remember the four kinds of energy: mechanical energy, life energy, psychic energy and conscious energy, then the moon acts with mechanical energy, like a huge electro-magnet, attracting the matter of the soul. When it gets this matter its temperature changes. The moon is in a very low state, much lower than the earth.

~~~~~~~~
Anyway, it is true that with the moon, it sets the earth in a perfect balance for life. The moon is in fact a 'captured asteroid,' and we are slowly, but surely losing our moon. When the earth loses the moon, it will knock it off balance, so life will alter as we know it with this, though it will be a long time before it eventually breaks 'free' of earth. Additionally, there is this mystery the moon has held over us, like man landing on the moon - a synchronicity with it. Perhaps this is even a bit of 'soul retrieval' in itself. Much mystery was taken away when we got on the moon, finally, were able to do it.
The part which is intriguing being an astrologer is souls going to the moon, or being absorbed within, per the intuitive process of the moon in how it acts in a natal chart, the feminine and absorbing aspects, as well as the 'past' elements of the moon, and the subconscious/conscious aspects. Like we only ever see one 'side.' We know per the moon, we're only getting part of the visual. The soul is the same way. We're only getting part of the visual.
Another thing is the moon's nodes (notably north and south) and how they play a role in where we've 'come from' (south node) and where we're going (north node), or supposed to evolve in direction. For example, a cap north node is to do away with the cancerian, motherly instincts, to not be posseseive with young, or others, and hike up the mountain alone. An aries north node is to learn more independence and solidarity outside of the 'groups' and needing to 'belong' to something (south being libra). A scorpio north node is to learn to leap into the mystery and not fear it, and is suppose to probe, vs being grounded to only beauty and life - seek death and that which most fear. So these hints and clues are embedded in the moon and nodes. So I do find it interesting about the premise the soul goes to the moon, but its still not a 'desirable' place to be, apparently.
Streets full of people, all alone
Rows full of houses, never home
Church full of singing, out of tune
Everyone's gone to the moon
Eyes full of sorrow, never wet
Hands full of money, all in debt
Sun disappears in the middle of June
Everyone's gone to the moon
Long time ago, life had begun
Everyone went to the sun
Hearts full of motors, painted green
Mouths full of chocolate-covered cream
Hands that can only lift a spoon
Everyone's gone to the moon
Everyone's gone to the moon
Everyone's gone to the moon
