Seriously. Even the small one messed up.

I get home from work, have to get ready for interview tonight, my daughter's friend had called, asked if my daughter was mad at her. Sometimes they argue. Anyway, so I told my daughter when she came in, that her friend called and asked that. So she sat down and said "Don't be mad, but I got in a fight today."

"Huh, a fist fight?" I said.

"Uh yeah. But she threw the first punch! It wasn't my fault! So I..... hit her back and..... threw her in a trash can and ..... threw her into a door, and..... grabbed her by the throat and pushed her really hard." Then told how the whole playground had circled them, and one of the boys literally pulled her off the other girl and said "Chill out, stop it!" Kids that age, ten, are really stupid and like seeing fights. So it must've been bad, if one stops her from fighting and prys her off the other girl.

So I asked her why the principal didnt call me. She said the teachers never saw it. Huh? How is that, they cant see, a fight like that. So my daughter was saying "Im sorry but it wasnt my fault, really!" Yeah I know self-defense and all can be justified, but going totally ape-shit? Jesus, I know both my son and daughter, probably have some little bitty bit of characteristics of me, but I prefer them to have the bodhicitta side of me. Jeez Louise!

So anyway, not sure what to do yet. At least she confessed it, instead of me hearing it another way. But shit, a trash can? And a door? Holy shit. She must've really got offended when the other girl threw that first punch. My minime isnt even that big.

Teach love and compassion. Show it. The oneness of things. To hurt another is to hurt yourself. Don't punish this, but explain that love
is from the heart and for all. Show concern for the injured "other" -
maybe even more concern for, like "o my gosh, is she alright? Did
you hurt her? Did you mean to hurt her?

To hurt another on purpose is very bad Karma. I am sure you know this.
The harm is to the harmer.

Oh I do May, thats the crazy part. No fighting and so forth. But this age, is crazy.

I just got home from my interview, and the other girl was calling. The other girl is apologizing, cause My daughter was saying "C, you threw the first punch!" and I could hear the other girl say loud and clear, "I know I did! My mind got winded! And the other girl was kicking her too, apparently. So she'd flipped out.

Still though at the same time, the girls are working out all the drama. Right now, since my daughter had on a friends sweatshirt and it got ruined, right now she's on the phone telling her she's got to pay for her sweatshirt LOL.

Its like the other girl said "My mind got winded." As in wind up a wind-up toy (giving phonics). I guess when folks fight, thats what happens, the mind gets winded.
