In the depth of the moonlight -
as I watched, there was a new sight
and as I listened, there was a new sound
and when I stopped to search around
I saw a mirror on the ground
I looked into the mirror
and I saw me,
and then the Universe -
and then not just me, but we.
The moon seemed pleased
The creek just flowed happily along
and the stars above started sing songs
The sun arose and said "Look at me"
and the moon and the stars and the creek
said "You are Goldenly Glorious, we can see"
and an itty bitty mouse came out from hiding
in the fears and sang along with the stars
singing "Look at we!"
The sun smiled down from the heavens above
and the itty bitty mouse fell deeply in love
It may seem quite silly, just a little poem's ditty
but tell me after all --
ain't the moonlight quite pretty?
