Love this for so many reasons - his candidness, his humor, his unabashed description of "being called" to his field, his excitement, his inversion of perspective (that being a "speck" is meta-physical, not insignificant), his description of "going nocturnal" (which any worker of the graveyard shift can understand), and his description of a calling to bring the universe to us, as an educator.
I suppose in toltec terms the significance of "going nocturnal" and "climbing the mountain" could be likened to an assemblage point shift. I think perhaps he's had many of those...
He's the director of Hayden Planetarium in NYC, which is a must-experience should you ever go to NYC. Went there a few times as a little girl and was awestruck.
