I should probably clarify a little bit more in understanding Spirit. I will do this to the best of ability.
Spirit is all light, all goodness. However, per lessons we learn on the path, spirit can put us into darkness, say if we are being stubborn and resistant to lessons.
When we are on the path, we seek the light. This is what we should be looking for. However we have to be careful on the path, not to go the way of a path deemed light, when it could actually be something that blinds us.
Much of exploring the nature of spirit is exploring our nature. We find, when the light shines on, we have aspects of ourselves which need tending. This is also how we can become confused. And also with spirit, there are storms, tsunamis, tornados, earthquakes and so forth. These come across as dark aspects to us, but Spirit is just doing what Spirit does; we can try to understand, but we have no right to judge the process. Life and Death are part of the process of life and give us deep understanding.
I remember reading Krishnamurti and he explained it had to be this way to make way for birth and the new. Eventually our processes will end and we have to make way for the new.
So it comes across dark, however is just the way life is. So dont judge Spirit on the way. We would not have had a life without Spirit and this way.
