This is where learning the Taoist art of balance really comes into play. In dealing with the tonal and nagual, I have seen many mistakes in when people do not balance the two, and also I have personally made mistakes in not balancing the two.

“Shape clay into a vessel;

It is the space within that makes it useful.

Cut doors and windows for a room;

It is the holes which make it useful.

Therefore benefit comes from what is there;

Usefulness from what is not there.”
― Lao Tzu

Some stalkers are so deathly serious about the path, they are out of touch with the nagual side of things. Yes I am sure in time they will find their way. However this overly detached nature they have, can actually be a burden on the soul.

Some dreamers are so flighty and air-heady, that they are not grounded with the tonal in their lives. I have seen many succumb to spirits and IBs and being overly obsessed with them. Unfortunately this strips some of all sense of reality.

I know it is choice to want to escape reality, because we live in a complex, and violent world, with many people who are assholes, basically. However, life is a school and we learn the lessons we must, to mold and shape our character. In the end, character is what is going to take us to the infinite. I know this sounds hard to believe, 'character?' Yes, character. This is not ego, but character is about getting to the root of who you are. Finding your true self in the grand scheme of things. Learning how to lead an impeccable life. Going forth when the call is on to 'act.'

We must be ready at all times, to 'act.' Think about it. If you are not groomed, your character, to act, what will you do when the call is on to do what you need to do? A warrior is always ready to act. Is prepared for his death, and even the simplest of acts. Knowing this has to do with building his character. We are on a very big journey called life, and we must mold and shape our character.

Stripping away at ego is what we must do, and fix the beast so we have the character to be able to persist in what we need to do. We will not get to where we want to go by sitting on our ass. You sit when there is nothing to act on, but when the time is ripe to act, you must be ready to act. And if you have not developed your character succinctly, you will be devoured by the Nagual. Plain and simple.

Live like there is no tomorrow. How many of us do this, truly do this? I, knowing I am a being who is going to die, knows there really is no tomorrow to count on. If you do not believe me watch the news and see how many people die per day. How many will go in an accident, or get a fatal illness. Time is short, I tell you.

We must be grounded and connected with our little tonal island, in the great endless nagual sea. Do not allow yourself to be overly swept up into spirituality, dreaming, the IBs and all the crap associated. Those things look to make you crazy. You must keep a foot in the tonal at all times.

Use the world around you to create something fresh and new. And keep being a creator. One thing Spirit teaches us, as we have attributes of Spirit, is we are creators. We give birth to children, we do art, we write, we work and create there. We engage with people and when we do we create something. Keep creating. And keep working on that character. Because character is your ticket to infinitity. If you are being a dick to people, stop. If you are letting people walk all over you, stop. How are you interacting in this world? If you are your own worst enemy,

Stop.

Stop and take a good hard look at your life. How are you living? How is  your life molding and shaping your character? If it is going well keep doing what you are doing. If it is not, be a creator and make it something better.

Know you can do it. :)
