This falls in line within the scope of attachment. We all have our 'stuff' and it does not mean get rid of your stuff, just do not be attached to it.
The only thing I have a true attachment to is photo albums. And that is because I am saving them for my kids. However, warriors must do their best not to be attached to the material, because this can ground us too tightly to the tonal, and we wish to be free and fluid in the tonal realm. Especialy when we have to leave it one day.
I have written I like the show Hoarders, about people who buy and save everything, even trash. They are extreme cases of attachment to things. And it can be painful for them to let things go, even things which are garbage or broken or worn out. They just accumulate to no end.
In a way part of detaching from possessions is also to be ready to go at any time. If we are attached to possessions, we can be attached to the world at large. We must not be attached too terribly to the world. Nothing wrong with loving the world of nature; but loving the world of material things, you cant take it with you.
The Pharaohs of Egypt would be buried with all their material things. But we know better - you cannot take it with you. None of it. You cant even take your best suit with you or best dress.
Just basically being free and ready to go is the key. When we do release our spirit within it cannot be so grounded here, that we cannot let go, and then become ghosts or even like the IBs we speak of. We want to be free to go into the Infinite.
