the gods who came from Venus long ago
lived on a sacred island beyond the mountains
beyond the snow
sent forth their children into the world
watched over them and sent unknown longings
to guide them home
are calling with their haunting song
with music the heart cannot bear
the mind can never know
will we be driven crazy?
can we ever hope to raise the memory
without crying out in madness and despair?
to tread those solitary paths
up through the mighty peaks and passes
to that hidden doorway once more
never to return
come, lets go...

This just stirred tears Michael... beautiful.
-
Spinning slowly
Amidst the stars
Hangs a pearl
‘twixt Venus and Mars.
In brightest dark
Clouds light up
Moon she shines
Upon empty cup.
How hot the night
Past sun’s demise
As lightning strikes
And air does rise.
Moisture swells
Warm breath sighs
Droplets form
Upon her thighs.
Trembling softly
Trees they sway
Leaves reach out
In waters way.
Drinking deeply
Tears they fall
Coolness gathers
A tender shawl.
The rivers run
Heartbeats sound
Earth opens wide
Love unbound.

II-17: Salutations to that Divinity who is in the fire, who is in the water, who is in the plants, who is in the trees, who has pervaded the whole universe.
Svetasvatara Upanishad
"To the God Who is in the FIRE and Who is in the waters;
To the God Who has suffused Himself through all the world;
To the God Who is in summer plants and in the lords of the forest;
To that God be adoration, adoration."
—Sh’vet Upanishad, II.17.
