Around the corner on the side of the wall
peeks the Spoiler, the Defiler, the messenger of a forgotten age
a mute prophet to command the forces of destiny
to his will
Yet the stories and legends, the tales of yore when whispered in frolic
the myths beyond time that light the fields in shades resplendant,
dancing lights and dry ice shredded through spinning balls of mirrors...
the special effects
are all for naught
for the Spoiler brings the tiny tap that sounds eternal, reaching through infinity like the hand of fate
dispelling all back to whence it came with the suddeness of an echo
and now we are granted audience to the designs of desecration as this one
who was spoken of
calls those who hear so they might know they have not forgotten the age of origins
and to bear witness to the first words of wisdom spoken in countless eons
as he says
"Everything has a crack in it."
