Title: Introduction
Post by: Michael on August 14, 2006, 12:42:46 AM
I want to officially welcome the Ancient Green Man, who through the connection with Juhani has joined us. Some time ago I had a vision that Juhani had a link with this being from the forest. Without telling him about this, I asked him to start taking photos of trees and posting them on another forum, saying that I was looking for something special that I believed he could find.

As it progressed and he got more into the task, I offered a few more clues till he twigged what he was after (he's a bright lad). I had no idea that such a being could still be contacted, but based on the original vision, it seemed worth the effort. He succeeded no only in making contact with this Old One, but was able to even receive a gift from him which was passed to me and on to another (mum's the word, niamh will never know).

But then Juhani also was able to get this First Hunter to join us here around the fire - that was truly a surprise, and I'm even more surprised no one has noticed Him, I mean He stands out like a face in a fire.

Juhani has brought here many of his findings from this quest:
Journeys to Green Kingdom (http://restlesssoma.com.au/soma/index.php?topic=218.0)

Due to this, I felt He should have His own area in Soma, where His spirit can assist anyone who wants to journey into the forest or wilderness of any kind. This has always been the way with our tribe - we have always gone alone into the wilderness to know, to vision, to be initiated.

If you feel ready to take this on, or are simply one who has their own little forest around your house - our garden is also like little guest house for the spirits of the green world to live with us - then the Ancient Green Knight is here to bless all those who seek to resonate with the the beautiful plant kingdom.

And based on events to date, I'm sure He would be willing to help with any properly put request.

Did a little searching and found some fun stuff:

"I have seen landscapes...which, under a particular light,
made me feel that at any moment a giant might raise his head over the next
ridge. Nature has that in her which compels us to invent giants: and
only giants will do."
--- C.S. Lewis

Magic Words
In the earliest time,
when both people and animals lived on the earth,
a person could become an animal if he wanted to
and an animal could become a human being.
Sometimes they were people
and sometimes animals
and there was no difference.
All spoke the same language.
That was the time when words were like magic.
The human mind had mysterious powers.
A word spoken by chance
might have strange consequences.
It would suddenly come alive
and what people wanted to happen could happen--
all you had to do was to say it.
Nobody can explain this:
That's the way it was.

yes Daphne that looks like where'd you find him.
He exists in many lands under different names, but I don't think we have anything exactly the same in Aust. We have the bunyip, a mysterious animal that few have seen, but that is not the same as a being that represents the forest like the Green Man. South East Asia also has something similar I think.

Juhani while sleeping in the woods over the past few days I did finally have the chance to really feel out the man you speak of. When we spoke of him in chat due to my curiousity, I misunderstood in some ways exactly what you meant and wondered if was actually someone else.

"Its the feeling you get when you step into the woods" you said something similiar to this to me... and thats what I went on.

I saw a rather large man, covered in 'nature' as clothing, he had some sort of fur around his shoulders, seemed canine of some sort.. fox, coyote, wolf. Around his waste hung a leather looking bag. His face had a stripe of green running across over his eyes.

Same thing?

Ive done some art work in the past reflecting this same energy.. Ill share that following.....

Yes, I get the same feeling from these paintings  (esp. the last one - very close to how I see Him). I knew you encountered Him!

Raven, did He give you anything from His bag? (I don't want to know what - only whether He did). His bag is full of gifts.

No he didn't. Seeing him was quite a gift in itself :)

Power gave me kind of similar view today. let's see if I can catch it on a photo tomorrow. It was at my work, there are some big trees in front of where we parke our bicycles. They are in a slope so when I got the impulse to look into the tree I looked right into the middle of the crown.

There was a old dead branch lying across the other branches, like a snake with a head - in green of course. I immediately thought of this thread. Now I hope it wont move until I get the opportunity to take a photo.

I wonder if i have a request, should i enunciate exactly what it is or if it's possible to do it in a more general way and He will understand anyway?

Rubina, it worked for me so that I just spoke my heart. Totally openly, with no reservations, no conditions, holding nothing back. Taking full responsibility for every word.

Indeed, over here only His presence and the possibility to talk to Him is shown, experiences shared, but the contact and interaction are deeply individual and personal. If you want - you can talk about it, if not - no problem!

It seems that my wife has as strong a contact with the Ancient Green Man as I do. She has had a special experience in the forest and with the forest. Though it seems that her places of power are very different from mine.

I don't know if the thread about the journey to the Green Man. I remember that I put up pictures from the day we found him. My wife gave me ideas about which spots to visit - which led us step by step to the Green Man.

There was a picture of Mother Spring where we encountered a butterfly who was a guardian of the place, and curious one!
