Title: Baba's music
Post by: Michael on August 16, 2006, 04:33:16 PM
here is the link to Baba's download music site on SoundClick:

http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=95514 (http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=95514)

I've just finally downloaded most of them after not being able to for a long time due to ISP filters. (I like to conver to .wav and burn a CD then listen on my stereo system.)

My favourite is Ancestral Spirits - was listening to it just after watching a TV program of a man traveling to find Shambala in Tibet... would have been great as the backing track for the doco.

I need some help finding a particular song.  It was a young woman singing with a whiny, hi-pitched voice doing this long piece that sounded really Mantric, spooky like.  Having a hard time finding it but thought it was in Baba's music.  Any clues, anyone?
Still looking.  Thanx. t

Michael's band, Saur, has a female vocalist on some of the cuts -- though I've been unable to download them and therefore don't know if your description fits any that he's offered...

Tom was it this:

Hejira! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mQTvwXFSKN8)

Some would call JM's voice whiny.
