I took these photos about 3 yrs ago while
working on a show with this 12 month old cub
the owner wanted to give me some of it's front
claws after they were taken out but I declined.
all white lions come from one common ancestor
caught in the wild in the 60's or 70's and selectively
bred on a wild life reserve{Timbervati}or inbred
as the case may be...lots of genetic defects but not
many breeders talk about that...same for white tigers
they never survive long in the wild...but they look
pretty in theme parks and variety shows...the kids love
them...
