I've been observing dragonflies as well. Thought I'd share a few pic's. The first one looks like he is smiling.

They are beautiful creatures.. live what? 2 years underwater and then change.. transform and live as creatures of sunshine and air. I think they only live a month or two as fliers... but they are beautiful.
