I love to watch these birds riding the thermals over the ocean, at Virginia Beach...

yes they are also a favourite of mine 'what a wonderful bird is the pelican ...'

i used to watch them from my high window when i worked in the city as an auditor - they would circle up from the river, around and around until they reached enough height, then off they would go to the sea.

we see them at the coast a lot
