It was in searching for some other songs that I stumbled into this piece the other day, and I've played it, fascinated, since. It was used in the final 10 minutes of an old movie called "Excalibur" (did anyone see it?) At the time I saw the movie, I had no clue about Wagner, except for fat ladies in long braids and the Flight of the Valkyries. My knowledge of him is still practically nonexistent. But it's dark territory ... and strangely compelling.
