Wild Communion
« on: June 20, 2014, 06:36:28 PM »
This has happened to me, though never with a Kodiak brown bear. But it has with possum, raccoon, fox, and various birds. The critter in question is suddenly at your side, as a 'normal' compadre. How does this happen?  I submit that energetically, you have become one with the surroundings, and the critter therefore does not feel threatened. It's an interesting process.

Grizzly/brown bears can be incredibly dangerous, by the way, lending a certain 'gasp' to viewing this.

This fellow seems tired, as evident when he sat down. It's an act of trust to exhibit weariness. But I suppose one can wonder if he wasn't in his right mind at the time of this event. Perhaps his unconcern was a function of illness.  He did look momentarily like he was going to hang out with the photographer for a while.  :)
