Wounded stars

(This one is kind of old, wrote a few weeks ago)

Words fall
like wounded stars from the sky
and from our mouths
I taste them
they are bitter
they want to slice and sting
and stick
but tears wash them away
almost as quickly as they land
they will not find their way to our hearts
We are clean
Tears mixed with rain
fall to the ground
beneath our feet
carried away
to the waters below
Fire in our hearts
burns away old wounds
Spririts ever stronger
we soar
the world flies anew
and seagulls call and sing
they remind us
with their wings and
their song
each moment is another chance
yet another chance

today i learned some thing
i felt
I should've maybe already known
but sometimes
the knowing
is more a re- remembering
of some thing
not-so-long forgotten
so I re-remembered
(to myself)
that in the face of conflict, doubt
to stand so strong and sure
not wavering
never bowing
and
always always knowing
what is true
within my heart

"The compulsion to possess and hold on to things is not unique. Everyone who wants to follow the warrior's path has to rid himself of this fixation in order not to focus our dreaming body on the weak face of the second attention." - The Eagle's Gift
