... Arthur Brown, it would just not pop up yesterday. He had hit with the song "Fire" and has done some solo albums of which I only got "Dance".
Anyway, the Starfighter album is really funny because between every song there is a sketch about different parts in the German Starfighter story. So what we did back there in school was to qoute part of these sketches as true in voice and intonation as possible.
I could ramble on forever but let me give an example.
Two mechanics are discussing the assembly of the plane (some minutes before take off).
1-Where does this bit go then?
2-What's that, let's have a look ... hmm .. I dunno - never seen one of them. Where did it come from?
1- It was knocking about loose inside.
2 - Give us it ... hmmm ... I'd say it was some kind of retaining plunger.
1 - Retaining plunger? What's that /..../
2- Give us the instruction book a minute ... let's see now page 979 paragraph 3. No - it's not there "
And so on, neither finding the tools nor the right screws, and then all confusion ends with a officer pilot asking in a harsh voice:
- Is this plane ready for take off yet?
2 - Almost ready sir.
