Blacklight corridors of power, lost without a map.
We skipped the tripwires, searched for hours,
tiptoed through the traps.
We slid through empty rooms with white walls
crystal chandeliers
carpets we could drown in.
Bells ringing in my ears.

We slipped through borders,
skipped the lasers
murmuring a code.
We'd wade through holes, we dodged the trolls
we swam through sewers, walked on coals
Climbed the scaffold
Hell, they even left the rope.
We saw our spinning friends descend....
choked.

Through passages we danced,
we glanced at fat men smoking fat cigars
who spun their webs on screens
threw telegrams in trays.
Candy soldiers raised the table.
Wearing labels, muttered curses
under sheeps' heads.
Naked
from their collars to their blessed cotton socks.

Every handshake gave a shock,
a buzz,
a charge
we saw them stab the stars with sugar knives,
then they fell in heaps of lard.
We watched but kept on moving higher..
higher..

Through the hall of two way mirrors,
I spied a boy scout shackled to a chair,
could hear the whip snap "in the mood"
made a parting in his hair.
Still he dared to bait his master
til the red wheels rolled from room to room to room.
We padded past his tomb
kicked the door down.
The door that said 'no entry!'.
In the lift, we flicked a switch
and flew to floor 6 6 6 6 6 6 6 6 6

No one stood there waiting.
No guard stood in our path.
There was just a window wide open,
and a note pinned to the chair.
It said:

"Welcome friends! You've passed the test,
I'm glad that you could make it.
From here you'll watch the world go by, and...
doesn't it look sad?
And, like me before you,
I'm quite sure you'll also take a dive, so..
come to Daddy."

like the pink dots song,

and also had a listen to Scales and Rattles, and Neon Chrome Jungle - they're very good.
Nice clear sound, and good rhythm.

this lpd song is called "the citadel".. its one of my favorites from them

you should see them play this live, it will practically melt your kneecaps.. Edward is big on improv, stream of consciousness type rewrites during any sort of spoken parts.. the relevance smacks you in the face.. all their songs are much longer at a live show

thanks for compliments.. got a few other songs im finishing up currently, tho they are more just playing around with things.. just getting a feel for some software before i sit down to do some "real" composition again - there is a local public access TV station here (URTV) that is very active with some solid peeps, so im going to return to the multimedia arena and do some A/V stuff.. you know, they have all kinds of pro camera gear, studios, editing suites, etc. etc. available for free to members - and membership costs like 50$ a year
