Absolute humility to prostrate. Keeps the land sacred and holy. It signifies the struggle within - its the one way to get there.

I am going to think of these pilgrims as often as I can now to remind myself.  Maybe I'll write myself a note and put it in my pocket.

Yep, and the Himalayas - highest mountains on the planet for a reason... they know what it is and what it signifies. Which course begs the question, 'why crawl?' But the Tibetans have got it going on - they know what they're dealing with. Only the proud would walk up to the mountains of the Himalayas and believe either they're already enlightened or worthy.

Pride keeps one on the wheel of suffering. It's the worst.

A daring and dangerous pilgrimage across Tibet accomplished by Brandon Wilson, author of "Yak Butter Blues" (www.PilgrimsTales.com)

~The interviewer is a bit stiff, and in the end tells us we need not go anywhere, but posted anyway for the cool footage and some food for thought therein.
