And We Shall Cast Rainbows Upon the Land
By Raymond Reitze, Old Turtle
Earthways, Maine

Thought Id share some snips from Ray's book.

~*~

I am only a guide or teacher, and at times a feeble one. When I am working with you, I ask only that you listen, not with your ears, but with your heart. And that you not believe anything I say, but take what I have said and take it into your heart and weigh it. If then you find it is true for you, then keep it, and if not, then kindly let it go as chaff in the wind.

~*~

Love cannot be bound or labeled for it is creation and creator itself expressed through you.

~*~

Discernment

Love leads me to help others. How can I use discernment to tell me when? Discernment shows you how everthing fits together like a puzzle. Step back and look at the situation. If you judge something, nothing fits anywhere and it causes conflict. But if there is no resistance there cant be conflict. Discernment has no resistance in its true form, nor does observation.

If you offer help and someone says "no: then its not your business; kindly walk away. An exception is a child that needs direction. Children are not old enough to discern what may hurt them. They dont know the stove is hot. We have to teach them to respect the hot stove. An adult does need direction sometimes but not interference. How does one get the lesson if interfered with? The answer is always within. Its right there.

One of the easiest ways to advance yourself spiritually is to "act" as you believe "Love" would act during the day. Love then shows you where all things fit. Love is not "pretend". Love has no pertension. Love Is. Egos pretend.

~*~

Unattached observation will show you clearly what the trouble is. Unattached observation will allow you to see life and move through life far easier than if you are attached. Attachment is holding on and putting your ideas on outcomes. Divine order does not have ideas it is clear observation.

Passionate detachment or unattached observation is letting go of attchant to yourself and letting go of ownership of all things. We are human, we only let go of detachment slowly because noone can let go of everything at once. That final step lets go of you and you become born again.

Much of the book is in question/answer format:

Am I just tricking myself when I say believing is seeing?

You have already seen much and you still don't believe, and if you have to see to believe, you still will not believe. You must believe first to see anything. You must believe in yourself if you're going to be anything. You have to believe you can ride a horse before you can ride a horse. Just seeing it happen doesn't make you a rider.

Why is believing in yourself important? Isn't that feeding the ego?

If one cannot believe in oneself, then what or who can one believe in? It doesn't feed your ego. Somehow you need to believe in yourself in order to believe in God. The two go hand in hand. The stronger your belief becomes in yourself, the stronger your belief in God. And the stronger your belief in God, the stronger in yourself. And what you believe truly in your heart, you can do. But what you believe only in your mind, you will never do.
