Hey that was one of my favorite hits. Didn't know the lyrics though.
It is much the early -70's style in the basic riffs, a typical rock style that I am so fond of.
Yep. Its true about Gavin too, that his dad is a prison guard, and mom is a specialist. I've always liked the song, but it resonated with me more strongly last night. Esp since over the last month and a half, dealing with the whole issue of liars, imposters, and why it frustrates me. Even the video of it, shows the frustration of it. The girl in the video begins to 'wake up' in a way, whilst sitting on the couch, then looking at everyone, writing "imposter" on the one girl's head. In a way, it's like she's confronting the CR and people trapped in it. The difference too, between the dark room she's in, with all the manequin looking people, and the one Gavin's in singing, where everyone's being 'themselves' and dancing and alive - because they're not concerned with the roles, or appearances - yep - I heard it at a good time last night as mars was moving on out of the twelfth and conjuncting my ascendant. Then when I got home, played it on youtube for awhile, let it sink in
