How did it take to your handling it?

very well actually - it was a bit freaked out from being trapped in the chook pen - quiet, but it flew off very relieved

I was out walking today...taking a few pics and encountered two friendly birds ...they both have had previous human contact...the duck just landed
about 5 or 6 meters away and was looking to be fed...so let me get quite
close...the galagh landed about 3 meters away a just walked straight to
me and climbed up onto my shoulder...a lost pet...I've taken it home so the
hawks don't have it for breakfast...I'll try to find its owner tomorrow...

Michael, its a pleasant thought to think of you holding one in your hands and setting it free.  :-*

Tiotit, You are so very much a bird man!!! Will you keep the lost pet if noone claims it? I cant help but mention the drum in your photo.. equally as beautiful as the bird.  ;)

The Galagh story is a curious one...last Christmas I found this same galagh... it was only a few weeks old had fallen out of it's nest...wouldn't have lived for very long...it also had a
disease (Chlamydia)I have birds at home and around the house so I didn't want to risk passing it to them...there were some people there who took the bird, had it treated by a vet,
and kept it as a pet...when we  met again last week we were only one hundred meters from
where I had first picked him up...his name is Screechy...he had flown about four kl m's to get there...his owners were happy to have him back...one lucky bird
