Bhairavi Ragini. Rajput, Provincial Mughal, 18th century. A woman is worshiping a linga, which symbolizes the god Shiva. Around the linga is arranged a lamp, a cup, & perfume burners. Behind the woman stands a servant bringing flowers and offerings.

A beautiful young woman kneels at a shrine while one of her attendants holds bowl of flowers and a second blows a conch. Bhairavi Ragini. Shiva puja in a fertile landscape filled with large blossoms and lush vegetation. Madhya Pradesh, Malwa Region, c.1725-1750.
