duel in the parking lot

Having been accosted by the guys-on-bikes before, I have to admit I enjoyed this.
Not that I necessarily agree with the guy in the bandana, but I most appreciated his surprise-ambush.

I thought he made a great point about the proselytizers' anger over being challenged. "We're talking about the Bible - shouldn't we be happy?"  ;)

Yes that was a funny turn. The guy with the bandana knew a lot about the bible (and Joseph Smith). "Why should the Bible be reinforced with the Book of Mormons?" I could hear that and some other good point in the discussion, but meanwhile it was difficult to hear what they said.

True, it was difficult, but it sounds like you did catch the best parts!

The facial expressions told a lot too.  ;)

you know one thing, and i am basing this on my encounters which are many, the young mormon boys are very nice people. they come to the door or see me walking and talk and so forth. always very polite. they are clean cut, nice boys. i remember it was cute they said i could get the book of mormon free. i was like free? how nice! lol. but anyway my encounters with them has always been positive.

I have a hard time accepting even the premise of them, no matter how pleasant some of them might be. So long as they cease and desist when I say, "Stop, please," I'm ok. But I'd rather not 'have' to deal with them at all.

Two female Jehovah's Witnesses were leaving their brochure on my doorknob the other day. I could have sworn they were trying the knob as they were fumbling. Surely I was wrong, but as I was watching the knob for jiggling, I was preparing my rant. "Oh they're just doing such and so," people say, but I think the whole missionary business is very intrusive.

yeah the Jehovah Witnesses are different to me at least in experience. Very persistent and annoying. And their brochures make me sick cause they are always about the end times and very depressing.
