we communicated telepathically and didn’t start to vocalize our thoughts until we wanted to “cover them up”, or not be truthful.

as we are in the Hindu section, Hinduism has a detailed comprehension of this. Here is the basics:

there are four levels of speech:
Vaikhari: mundane language - physical, and mostly good for external object references. The dead cannot hear this form of communication.

Madhyama: halfway between mundane and spiritual language. associated with mental concepts and used with good intentions. mental communication and its objects are internal.

Pashyanti: for spiritual purposes. clairvoyant communication - communication between seers.

Para: only Rishis use this, as it is too high a communication to be even comprehended by us beginners. It is beyond perception, beyond images - pure telepathic.

These also equate to the four Yugas - the four time periods: Satya Yuga (where people only communicated directly and immediately using Para), Treta Yuga, Dvapara Yuga and Kali Yuga (our current period, where only Vaikhari speech is used).

In this forum we use all four types, but really only three. the third being the astral Soma.

this is why we get into tangles also, because we try to employ the basically Vaikhari language of English to describe objects from the other types of communication. And it is not designed for that purpose. That in essence was the problem with feelings and emotions - trying to use physical language words to describe Madhyama concepts.

What we always seek to attempt here is Pashyanti language - clairvoyant communication.

Now watch peoples communications, and in Soma this is a good place to do this. You will find everyone is communicating on more than one level. usually people talk in surface level language, but are expressing emotion on a deeper level - that emotion is mostly sub-conscious.

here in Soma, you have some very advanced individuals compared to the street selection. Here you will find degrees of awareness on multiple layers in communications. problem is that if you are not operational on those layers, you will not grasp the communication.

So we see a person first tackle the most surface level of words, then we see them react to the emotional inferences 'between' those words - this has to do with interpreting why someone uses a particular word... it has an implied meaning that we (usually) feel is an emotional slight against us.

then we see that in the way a person composes their words and ideas, an energy is flowing beneath, and it is this energy, beneath the emotional level, that is like a picture or a hologram of the posture of the communicator - really a posture of knowledge. It is this level that we should all be seeking - try to see the energetic posture of the intent behind the words.

to do that we must first give away our defenses, give away our desire to be seen by others in a favourable and accepted light, give away our desire to be liked and respected - drop all that, and stand silent before someone's words, feel the rhythm, feel the colour, feel the play of intersecting beams of light, feel the level of awake-ness, feel the secrets revealed on the dream level.

each person here should recognise that when we want to say something significant, first we formulate in our minds - turn it over, and find the right mood and concepts. This is when the real communication is done. This is when you are really speaking to your intended recipients, so know that - in your mind, see them before you as you arrange your intent.

In this level, we speak directly - no need to choose words carefully, to avoid offending them, we dig to the crux of our intent and say it plain and clear. Then we weave that into words and ideas that will account for the passage of our communication through the filters of the other person's personality. Last we sit and type our words out.

Try this. Ask someone on the mental level a question. Then wait to see if in their posts they reply.

My guide once said something like this:
it is not the words in the posts per se that is important, it is not the words that hold the message, it is the energy behind the words that are important.

Well it some kind of mix, the words and the energy behind, or else it wouldn't make sense.
