Try this "reverse sweat technique I use.

During the summer I cover my shamans' lodge (a triangle construct 6 X 6 x 6', 6' high, just fits one person, of course) with thick tarp and get into it when the afternoon sun is the hottest.  I bring in my medicinals, power objects and a gallon jug of frozen water.

The tarp has only a few small peep holes for circulation and it'll hit over 120 deg. in there right away so the ice and water is a real rush and keeps me from overheating <<< a serious precaution.

This way, when I haven't time for a lot of preparation, I don't need a fire and rocks and get basically the same kinda affect.  In about then minutes I am drenched and walk out totally cleansed.

Really nice flick of the lodge, Raven.  Can I get in?  Very inclusive write-up, also.  My thanx. t

Thanks for adding the reverse sweat here Tom. :) Here in Maine its so cool most of the time.. Id have a very hard time having the sun heat it enough for use in that manner.. but Im sure others with a warmer climate would indeed join you in a quick fix to hours of preparing!

Im like a snake when it comes to heat so its well worth the effort. ;)

I also use my lodge for dreaming and other things, its nice to have a private temple away from the rest of the property to slip into darkness.

I should of mentioned that the construction I discribed above is made as strong as possible.. Im hoping it will hold up to our winters of up to 6 feet of snow. Someone could toss up a lodge pretty quick for a one time use.

A friend in TX laughed and told me he could just go sit in his car with the windows rolled up.. I suspect he's right.

Blessings, Raven
