If you ask me he should have persued the path, he certainly had excess energy and a keen awareness of will. I think his high self-importance and anger sprouted from being tormented, I suspect, because he was flamboyant. So he rejected himself, removed himself from society and went to the bears.

I think I heard that he was coming out of being suicidal when he began the treks to the bears.  The path would have been good for him --- some sort of guidance would have been good for him. I wish he had been able to listen to the native community there, who clearly did not approve of what he was doing. Perhaps they could have shown him a different way to express that love.

I totally agree, even if he would of listened closely to the Bear, I imagine, he would of gained quite a lot.

Here is a sign I found pretty cool. I also read that the natives learned much of their herbal knowledge from observing the Bear.
