Shamanic Healing Songs and Chants
« on: August 10, 2006, 01:26:50 PM »
Here are a  couple of songs I like.
I found a CD in the library quite a while ago of Shamans from all
over the world singing  and doing healing rituals and chants.
Here are two of the songs I really like.  I hope this link works.
I had to upload to my Yahoo Poetry group so that I could share them here.

edit:

Apparently the files are inaccessible unless you are a  member of the group.
So I will have to try to find a better way of sharing.
Anyone have any ideas?

can you download them to your hard drive, or are they wrapped in Flash? ie can you right click and choose 'save target as...'

currently you can't attach them because they will go over the limit, which is designed for pictures - i could change that limit, but it is a good idea to force people to keep their pictures within a size limit.

What you need to do is convet them to mp3 - that is a topic on its own, then upload to a server (lori you can use your folder on buriedshiva) with a program like SmartFTP (free) or just drag drop into ftp browser window, then link it here:

Code: [Select]
Shadow
= Shadow

then click, or select save link/target as... and download

Rudi's new feature will make this easier

I think you'll like them Jen.

Track number 4 is an Ayahuasca Healing ceremony.
Track 6 is an Anishnabe Shaman, his voice just kills me, I can't listen to that one without crying.
Track 10 is a fun song. It's a shouting ritual, supposed to make your spirit and body feel good.  And it does! It really does!
Track 14 is cool, too.  It is a Shaman's rattle.

Ive gotten the first 2 downloaded. My dog got rather excited with the first one.. lol

The second (track 6) I just pulled up on my realplayer and let it play over and over while meditating in my garden. I was out there for close to two hours listening to the one track.. lost a bit of time in there somewhere. Excellent sharing Lori, thank you.

Ill work on getting the others tonight.
