some euro classical
« on: July 01, 2008, 10:10:21 PM »
been digging in the old tapes, and found some pieces I used to really enjoy:

Magic Fire Music (Wagner)
I was a great fan of Wagner in the old days, except for The Ring Cycle - I always felt like a hick not being able to get into that - only heard it once... all six hours. But almost everything else he did was so impressive. He has a bit of a bad name in some circles tho. Not sure why.

Lohengrain's Tale of the Temple of the Holy Grail

The Swan of Tuonela (Sibelius)
This is a very beautiful piece - I expect it's the mix of the cello and the oboe.
