"From contact comes feeling.
From feeling comes reaction.
This is what keeps us in the cycle of birth and death.
Our reactions to our feelings are our passport to rebirth."

I once found a way to use my reactions to other people in such a way as to shift my perception to a possition out of the normal space-conception. In this possition I could seemingly experience the thoughts of others, but I could not tune in to them enough to hear words, and am not sure such is even possible.

It was symbolicly associated with the spider and its web.

I was shocked to this possition just as I was moving cups placed upside down on the table into whatever possition felt right (felt by reaction-impulse).
I also at that time had a group of people whom I hung out with regularly and right after the initial shock into this perception I sat down in-front of friend. And "saw" a shape-symbol come from his forhead in my direction and thought somehow this shape was thought. But I could not zoom in on exactly what the shape was and was having trouble believing what I was seeing so I lost the shape all together. The seeing was almost like hearing and dreaming together...somehow......    It was like standing on the edge of what ever wall normally keeps others inner world out and listening...

Ian, that's intriguing. What was the shape of the shape, or symbol that you saw?

this whole experience is in my mental logs for future processing, but for now I will do my best.

it was square or rather maybe rectangle...with the longer sides verticle. I suspect that there may have been something inside the rectangle but I can not at this time make it out. it seemed to be projecting out toward me. if I was to associate a color with it it would be somewhat bronze....but this is now bordering on speculation.

the importance that I can grasp at this time is in the feelings connect to this experience of it somehow having been a thought or related to a thought.

maybe somehow in not believing and even a bit fearing I unwittingly rejected the thought and thus lost it...still specul-ation
one day I will crack the code though

why you ask, does it have meaning for you?

I was just wondering if it could've been a symbol projected from the subconscious of the other, and took on the form of a universal symbol, since from the subconscious we do carry with us various universal symbols, which seem to be rooted in possibly a universal consciousness of sorts. A bronze rectangle though, I think what would be most important, though was your reactions to the symbol you saw.
