Don Miguel has done a heart transplantation.
Not sure if you knew.

From Don Miguels facebook:

As of today, October 9th, 2010 a new heart beats within the chest of don Miguel Ruiz. At midnight last night a donor heart was matched with don Miguel and after a mad scramble to secure a plane he was flown from Austin Texas to the hospital where the transplant took place. The surgery was successful and he his recover...ing at this time. It will be some time before he is fully recovered and back to his lively self.

"Everyone, thank you all for your best wishes and love for my father. We've been
asked by his doctors not to send any Cards, Letters, Flowers, Gifts or visits to
him since they are potentially life threatening objects. He has no
immune system right now, so no virus should get close to him. Please
...pass this on, we all want him to survive and we all love him. Thank you so much. Miguel A. Ruiz Jr.

Oh, that's kind of weird.  So the heart of a shaman, no longer beats, but the shaman's body lives with another's heart inside.   Interesting.....

The heart of a 10 year old girl if I understand it right.

Please listen by yourselves what Don Miguel says about the transplant and how he express his love.

Forgive me for my ignorance, but which one is this?
The guy for South Africa or the guy who's into love from Mexico?  or another guy? (I do get a bit confused with all these new toltecs)

Right - thanks V.

I have been pondering this in my bath tonight - what would I do in this situation?

We have a friend who is dying of a brain tumour. It is one of those nasty tumours - no survival chance outside of a miracle.
But he is doing all the medical stuff - chemo, radiation and now some extremely expensive drug which is helping. But this is all to give him a few more months life - not to cure it.

Personally I wouldn't, but that's partly because I am keen to experience the death passage. I would do everything possible up until a point, and then I would surrender to the experience, not cling on.

But that's different to a heart transplant. That means years and years of life, not a few months. Yet it does seem a bit odd - living with another person's heart. I really can't say what I would do, if I had the money, which I don't.

I certainly would take a kidney transplant, or a liver, so I suppose a heart isn't that different. I know the old shamans wouldn't touch this stuff with a barge pole, but they were in a different paradigm ... perhaps.
