Orangutans are the least violent cousins of ours. Chimps (closest cousins of ours) wage organized warfare using weapons, raiding other chimp colonies and practicing cannibalism. Gorillas are less organized, but frequently violent. Orangutans are solitary dwellers that use violence only rarely - between males when they fail to resolve quarrel peacefully, or when attacked.

These cousins of ours are so similar to us, aren't they?





Some time ago Michael posted a pic with him and Shah on it (this is not to compare Michael with orangutan :D) and the sense of warmth between two living beings is quite alike on these pics with orangutan.
