The scale omits the Third and Seventh notes of the scale, and sometimes has a flat Second (considered the older style of this raag).

Here is Bhimsen Joshi's version, and as he was considered a traditionalist, I expect he may have used the flat Second - I'm not sure and haven't dissected his scale. I love his long mysterious and slow, indifferent approach into the raag, with much attention to the harmonies.
