Dreams

Oh I, I believe in magic and I believe in dreams
Until I heard the thunder rumble
I saw the mountains crumble -
Then came the circus so I followed it’s parade

With all the fancy lion tamers, high-wire fiery flamers
Ravers of every kind
I saw those high-stepping sexy witches
Sons of satin, sons of bitches - all were there in my dreams
all in my dreams
Sodom and Gomorrah
I see you’re back in town.
And though you build a wall around you
The multitude still found you
Just like a circus to start with a parade
Oh but a parade of the

Fancy lion tamers, high-wire fiery flamers
Ravers of every kind
I saw those high-stepping sexy witches
Sons of satin, sons of bitches - all were there in my dreams
all in my dreams
Now I can see the whole world is just a circus
And I can tell that the circus why it’s just hell
And then I heard a drummer rolling
I found my seat’s been stolen
Then a spotlight hit me going wild in center ring for all you

Fancy lion tamers, high-wire fiery flamers
Ravers of every kind
I saw those high-stepping sexy witches
Sons of satin, sons of bitches - all were there in my dreams
all in my dreams

My dreams my dreams
Well I, I believe in magic and I believe in dreams
I said I, I believe in magic and I, I believe in dreams
I believe in dreams
I said I, I believe in magic, I believe in dreams
I believe in dreams, magic, magical dreams
I wanted to sing that I believe in dreams
Magical dreams, oh I believe in dreams
I said I, I believe in magic, I still believe in dreams

Grace Slick is one of my favorite singers, famous from Jefferson Airplane and Jefferson Starship, a Scorpio ... of Course

Don't you want somebody to love?

I know, that is "your" generation music. But I was before my time and yes I "Don't you want somebody to love!"

Have you seen the saucers?

Face to the Wind

So to my dear lads
this is my favorite from that album of Dreams. Thanks to that I've walked the stairway:

Face to the Wind

Too much of life has fallen through my hands
I pray the lord I get another chance
To face the raging storm and test ist hands
Face to the wind

Too many hours making future plans
Afraid to gaze upon the dealer's hand
But you know he's due to call so make your stand
Face to the wind Face to the wind

Like a boat upon the river swept drifting out to sea
I cast my fate to the wind
And the storm hangs like a dagger to cut me in the heart
But still I stand
Face to the wind
Face to the wind

There's a guiding light, a lantern burning bright
To light my way
And a demon daring me to look him in the eye
Straight in the eye
Straight in the eye

Like a boat upon the river swept drifting out to sea
I cast my fate to the wind
And the storm hangs like a dagger to cut me in the heart
But still I stand
Face to the wind
Face to the wind

"Slick's uncompromising persona and powerful voice helped to open up new modes of expression for female performers, giving a new legitimacy to the role of the female lead singer in the male-dominated world of rock music.

Jefferson Airplane's August 1969 performance of their song, "Volunteers" at Woodstock is, to this day, considered one of the most memorable songs of the three-day Woodstock festival. With lines such as, "One generation got old / One generation got soul / This generation got no destination to hold, pick up the cry," the song has been interpreted as challenging the youth of the United States to rise up in opposition to their government."

Grace had a contralto voice:
a singer with a vocal range somewhere between a tenor and a mezzo-soprano. The term is used to refer to the lowest female singing voice, or to a kind of male singing voice utilizing falsetto called a countertenor.

Actually, I find this poem very sad. I feel it is a call from the heart, in desperation, that what unfolded is not her longing.
