All Along The Watchtower

Just the best song from that era!
(Jimi Hendryx version, of course...)

And, of course, there's the Dave version...

Oh, how he Wails! The energy this band emanates at a live concert is awesome!

I am not so sure. Who is this Jimi anyway?

Neil Young on
Bob Dylan 30th Anniversary Concert

All along the Watchtower

it is good to have seen that one before this more final partylike version
together with Bruce Springsteen

too much guitars, too much Rock'n Roll, too much of just everything ... I would say ... and I like it!

Yes, I didn't think he ever performed that version live - his live performances of all his stuff was always very different to his studio versions. they had his full Wodstock gig on TV last weekend here, but I missed it  ??? - didn't know about it till after, although I think I may have seen it many years ago (can be hard to recall such things  ;) ).

Just throwing in some trivia of another kind.
Dylan's lyrics include an allusion to a TS Eliot poem,
"The Love Song of J Alfred Prufrock"
"The Love Song of J Alfred Prufrock"
    The women come and go...
        talking of Michelangelo....

Ang may have already posted this... we have so many versions -- I think it might be our theme song.   ;)

Here's another good one V! ... for something is always learned each and ...

 ... Everyday

Pick me up, love!
(Pick me up, love)
Hey, how long, how long, how long (Everyday)
Everyday, ah

Pick me up, oh, from the bottom
Up to the top, love, everyday
Pay no mind to taunts or advances
I take my chances on everyday

Left to right
Up and down, love
I push up love, love everyday
Jump in the mud, oh
Get your hands dirty with
Love it up on everyday

All you need is
All you want is
All you need is love.
All you need is
What you want is
All you need is love.

Everyday
Everyday
Oh, Everyday...

Pick me up, love, from the bottom
Up onto the top, love, everyday
Pay no mind to taunts or advances
I'm gonna take my chances on everyday

Left to right
Up and up and inside out right
Good love fight for everyday
Jump in the mud, mud
Get your hands filthy, love
Give it up, love
Everyday

All you need is
All you want is
All you need is love.
All you need is
What you want is
All you need is love.
Oh...

What you've got
Lay it down on me
What you've got
Lay it down on me

All you need is
All you want is
All you need is love.
All you need is
What you want is
All you need is love.

Everyday
Everyday
Oh, Everyday...

Pick me up love
Lift me up love
Pick me up love
Everyday...

Up from the bottom, everyday
Up to the top love, everyday
Pick me up love
Lift me up love
Pick me up love
Everyday

Honey, honey ... come and Dance with me ............................
