We have been listening to this book as an audiobook while driving in the car. It is really an incredible book, and I can recommend it to everyone (esp Juhani).
It is about Penang before and during the Japanese invasion in WWII, and is a lot about identity. But this book is so mature - such a story of emotional and mental struggle as well as cultural.
The audiobook is hard to get hold of, as it only seems available through Audible. I have been successful in downloading and extracting it from Audible format, so if anyone wants an mp3 format, I can share. But it is still two very large files.
