Fascinating... was wondering about the red on that woman's breast, hand and feet - and the arrow didn't have feathers...

The red on her breast is interesting, and I don't want to jump to conclusions. The red on her hands and feet is no doubt henna.

"Vibhasa" seems to manifest one of 2 ways: the man is aiming a lotus-covered arrow at the woman herself, or, he is taking aim at the bird in the picture (usually a peacock, but I've also seen rooster as the annoying bird waking them up.) If that is blood on her breast, it's the first time I've seen that.

Though what appears to be blood could actually be the henna of her hand, curled on her breast.

Here's one where it can be clearly perceived that the man is aiming for the rooster:

Hopefully, this will demonstrate the spectrum of vibhasa (if it shows for ya, that is):

It definitely wins the prize in my mind for the most beautiful "Hindola" image.

There are a few I've never heard of, as well. Think I have 3 more to post of this series.
