I dreamed of a storm in the desert
wiping out the glow of the moon on the horizon
electricity glazed the atmosphere, a metallic flame
and deep howling from the sky permeated the air
Vast winds carried sounds and light swiftly
sands shifted and swirled, moving the earth, dancing
a song from the winds carried me along, mesmerizing
I did not walk in this desert, I flowed with the wind
here and there like a delicate flower carried by a gentle wave
passenger through time on a gently moving, living vehicle
there was no sporadic or indecisive movement or sounds here
everything flowed, belonged, exsisted for each other
harmonious in nature, direct in it's giving, succinct in taking
I wonder if I dreamed at all really...
was the hair not standing up ramrod on my arms
the electricity pulling from deep within me
shooting out into the macrocosm, drawing me onward
the wind making my hair dance as if in a trance all around me
carrying me towards a known but unseen destination
the thunder driving all fear from me like soothing music
arms spread out and head thrown back I let it take me
smelling of desert flowers and electricity I awoke
as the hair settled on my arms I noticed the sand on my sheets
and felt the warm tingle of slight windburn on my skin
smiling, I closed my eyes to the morning sun
and wished again for the night to claim my dreams
As I rose to place my desert flowers in water
