Indra's Net
« on: August 18, 2006, 07:40:01 PM »
I step outside
Look left and right
Darkness falls
In deepest night.
A distant glow
So faint to see
Shimmers softly
Calling me.
I stretch my hand
Out by my side
Fingers open
Warm and wide.
And hear a sound
Escape my lips
Breathing softly
In gulps and sips.
How sweet the taste
Of warmed up air
As blazing rays
Their light do share.
Sunbeams dancing
For you and me
Spirit singing
A song to see.
Bright blue skies
Greenest grass
Trees so tall
Clouds that pass.
Raindrops fall
Clear and wet
Spider’s web
A glittering net.
Birds they chitter
Loud and caw
Oh what a sight
Lightening saw.
Step by step
I play my part
To love’s awakening
Of open heart.
Fears they flee
They have no place
In such a world
Of open space.
Though I may trip
Tangled roots in way
New dreams do weave
And have their say,
Tomorrow comes
Dawns in light
To share this world
With gentle night.
I hear the sound
Of distant hope
A sharp clean cut
Lets go the rope.
What to hold
What to keep
When all’s a dream
While fast asleep.
Slowly waken
Open eyes
Stretch my limbs
No goodbyes.
It’s just a moment
Since we last met
Beneath the waves
Of Indra’s net.
