Heh. I remember when michael first opened his youtube I sent him all those youtubes with santana. I told him maria maria was like life out here - shes always trying to find 'another way' outside of the madness.

Hard to believe that man's in his seventies. He can make anyone sound good when he plays with them :)

I watched a History of Latin Music on PBS the other night, and on it, Carlos described about this performance that the group wasn't due to play for 12 hours, that they were suddenly called to go up.  But Carlos had just taken some LSD. He said that the entire set consisted of him doing battle with the snake (his guitar), that he just prayed the whole while that the snake would do what he wanted it to do.
