A Day in the Life
« on: September 16, 2009, 06:18:12 AM »
Song going through my head
I'm ready for the bed
At the old folks' stead.

Recorded in Bombay, '68.
Back side of Lady Madonna.

Inner Light

Without going out of my door
I can know all things on earth
Without looking out of my window
I could know the ways of heaven

The farther one travels
The less one knows
The less one really knows

Without going out of your door
You can know all things on earth
Without looking out of your window
You can know the ways of heaven

The farther one travels
The less one knows
The less one really knows

Arrive without travelling
See all without looking
Do all without doing

Not here, not there, but everywhere - always right before your eyes.

Sorry, but not available because of copyright claim from the EMI.
Please type down the Music that you wanted to share, artist and song - and one might find a link.

Yes right, George was the "deepest guy" of the four Beatles. Still remebering the "All Things Must Pass" album, and the concert for Bangla Desh, a Concert where George succeded to gather the Cream of pop artists by the time.

Not available for me either, Jahn. Sorry about that. I don't recall what the song was now, so it's a goner.

Though... I'll bet it was "A Day in the Life" by the Beatles.

Lots of old stars in the footage of the video. The Beatles, of course, Mick Jagger, Donovan, John Sebastian (??), the blondes: Marianne Faithful (??), a Beatles' wife is in there too.

It was way over the heads of most people at the time, and still today. You had to be experienced.

So much has been said about the words... I think the fab never talked about them but I could be wrong.

For me, it represented a popularised presentation of a something mystical and never repeated since - must have outraged the CIA. It's all about trying to articulate the experience rather than describing it from outside - an approach that has only ever found expression in the obscure albums. I think they copped a lot of shit over this, but good old George Martin's touch made it hard to dismiss.
