Dance is our offering

How we dance in our actions, our thoughts, our feelings - that is how we show our spirit. Even in the smallest gesture, we dance.

dance your hate.  dance your love.  the point is to dance.  whatever your dance is.

You're obviously not a dancer. A real dancer knows how to express themselves in dance, a little bit better.

Dancing isn't just for the sake of it, or being trapped in some duality like 'dance your love or hate.' You dance from the center, like anything else - just as the heart chakra lies in the center - that is where a dancer, dances from, and expresses by turning it all inside/out. And what she does, is bring that forth, so that those who witness - want to get up, and do the same thing.

Dance isn't a solo deal, at all. Even when in a studio, by onself, a dancer is never, ever alone. Spirit is always present, or they are not, a real dancer. They're just, 'going through the motions' and trapped in the mechanical gestures.

In dancing our dances
(Ain't they so lovely?)
I can't help but offer this:

Quote
Dance, when you're broken open.
Dance, if you've torn the bandage off.
Dance in the middle of the fighting.
Dance in your blood.
Dance, when you're perfectly free.
-- Jelaluddin Rumi (13th century)

hihi, no wonder came the whirling dervishes!

How can you fail to feel the music from within?  ;)

Dance me to your beauty with a burning violin
Dance me through the panic ’til I’m gathered safely in
Lift me like an olive branch and be my homeward dove
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the end of love

Oh let me see your beauty when the witnesses are gone
Let me feel you moving like they do in babylon
Show me slowly what I only know the limits of
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the end of love
Me to the wedding now, dance me on and on
Dance me very tenderly and dance me very long
We’re both of us beneath our love, we’re both of us above
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the end of love

Dance me to the children who are asking to be born
Dance me through the curtains that our kisses have outworn
Raise a tent of shelter now, though every thread is torn
Dance me to the end of love

Dance me to your beauty with a burning violin
Dance me through the panic till I’m gathered safely in
Touch me with your naked hand or touch me with your glove
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the end of love
