Tiger

TIGER, tiger, burning bright
In the forests of the night,
What immortal hand or eye
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?

In what distant deeps or skies
Burnt the fire of thine eyes?
On what wings dare he aspire?
What the hand dare seize the fire?

And what shoulder and what art
Could twist the sinews of thy heart?
And when thy heart began to beat,
What dread hand and what dread feet?

What the hammer? what the chain?
In what furnace was thy brain?
What the anvil? What dread grasp
Dare its deadly terrors clasp?

When the stars threw down their spears,
And water'd heaven with their tears,
Did He smile His work to see?
Did He who made the lamb make thee?

Tiger, tiger, burning bright
In the forests of the night,
What immortal hand or eye
Dare frame thy fearful symmetry?

William Blake

Hi, Kat... Love the Tiger and the new Avatar...

I've liked Tigers ever since a very vivid Dream where a Tiger befriended me and gave me special courage.

I have been thinkin' about dreams and internal dialogues where I seem to play more than one individual, but all the characters are working in a sort of synergy.

How's yourself?

Hi, Kat... Love the Tiger and the new Avatar...

I've liked Tigers ever since a very vivid Dream where a Tiger befriended me and gave me special courage.

I had a spirit tiger-buddy when I was 4 and 5, but I sent him away because my mother was a little too interested in my conversations with her...  ;)  Then in my late 20's/early 30's, another one popped up. It was in a meditation/visualization.  That one is still around. He's a good guy.

I love your story of how your tiger-friend gave you courage! Makes a lot of sense to me, for a tiger to do so...

Sometimes I wonder, May, if all these animal spirit friends have appeared to people all over the world because their time is close for perishing. Tigers are surely in trouble, in the real...

Or, maybe through this loving sort of connection, we radiate something that will save them in the end. I hope so, anyway.

Hey pretty good, May! I have been resting up.

I thought about you a lot during hurricane season, as water-logged as Texas got! Did your land ever dry out?
