Restless Soma has changed
« on: May 05, 2007, 09:13:05 AM »
Time for a shift in energy. Time to quit the donnybrooks and envy. Time to talk of our sacred journey - our life. Our life as it flows out, and flows in.

There are only three certainties on the path: Death, Birth and Homework.

I have made these categories, as the only valid branches of our inspiration. Share your questions and stories in each of these areas, and allow everyone the right to their own sacredness.

Only seen the old S & H. The new one, I couldn't justify seeing. But I like the "Do it" sentiments! :)

nice.  time indeed to cast the clutter from our sacred homes within.

Interesting as I see I have changed as well. Also because many of my dreams have sometimes scolded me for skipping classes or falling asleep on the job.

SHERYL CROW
"A Change"

Ten years living in a paper bag
Feedback baby, he's a flipped out cat
He's a platinum canary, drinkin' falstaff beer
Mercedes rule, and a rented lear
Bottom feeder insincere
Prophet lo-fi pioneer
Sell the house and go to school
Get a young girlfriend, daddy's jewel

A change would do you good
A change would do you good

God's little gift is on the rag
Poster girl posing in a fashion mag
Canine, feline, Jekyll and Hyde
Wear your fake fur on the inside
Queen of south beach, aging blues
Dinner's at six, wear your cement shoes
I thought you were singing your heart out to me
Your lips were syncing and now I see

A change would do you good
A change would do you good

Chasing dragons with plastic swords
Jack off Jimmy, everybody wants more
Scully and angel on the kitchen floor
And I'm calling Buddy on the ouija board
I've been thinking 'bout catching a train
Leave my phone machine by the radar range
Hello it's me, I'm not at home
If you'd like to reach me, leave me alone

A change would do you good
A change would do you good
Hello, it's me, I'm not at home
If you'd like to reach me, leave me alone

A change would do you good
A change would do you good

Change
Tracy Chapman
Listen Here
If you knew that you would die today
Saw the face of god and love
Would you change?
Would you change?

If you knew that love can break your heart
When you're down so low that you cannot fall
Would you change?
Would you change?

How bad, how good, does it need to get?
How many losses? how much regret?
What chain reaction would cause an effect?
Makes you turn around
Makes you try to explain
Makes you forgive and forget,
Makes you change
Makes you change

If you knew that you would be alone
Knowing right, being wrong,
Would you change?
Would you change?

If you knew that you would find a truth
That would bring a pain that can't be soothed
Would you change?
Would you change?

How bad, how good, does it need to get?
How many losses? how much regret?
What chain reaction would cause an effect?
Makes you turn around
Makes you try to explain
Makes you forgive and forget,
Makes you change
Makes you change

Are you so up right
You can't be bent
If it comes to blows
Are you so sure you won't be crawling
If not for the good why why risk falling
Why risk falling?

If everything you think you know
Makes your life unbearable
Would you change?
Would you change?

If you'd broken every rule and vow
And hard times come to bring you down
Would you change?
Would you change?

If you knew that you would die today,
If you saw the face of God and loved
Would you change?
Would you change?

If you saw the face of God and loved
If you saw the face of God and loved
Would you change?
Would you change?

silly question isn't it?

everybody, everything is always always changing
all the time
all the time
eh?

I think some people do try to stay the same though. That's probably why they're miserable. They're resistant to the inevitable.

sometimes we also see what we best like about ourselves.

in michael i see someone who persists.  reminds me of how i persist.
in you i see your kindness.  reminds me to be kind.
in erik i see effort.  reminds me to keep trying.
in ellen i see upset.  reminds me to be chipper.

yeah, but its impossible to stay the same.  SO even if you arent trying to change, (lol trying) you are continually changing from moment to moment.  Each moment an old you dies and a new one is born. So right now i am not the same as i am right now. and when i wake up tomorrow morning, though i may have not 'tried' to change i will not be the same person i am tonight. and its good like that.  it's perfect.  we cannot not change.

Beyond the resistance, it seems to me, that it is a struggle with Fear.  Change is envitable, it's when we conqure our fear of change that we have more of an ability to guide the change in alignment with our Spirit.

fear holds us in 1 place.  let go of our fears and we sail smoothly.

there is life, and there is how you move through life.  to move in dischord or harmony is up to you.
