Yes, he has died.
In a world of insincerity, one flame stood bright, and now that flame is out.

I have just finished listening to Leonard's last CD for the first time: You Want It Darker. He struggled through pain and exhaustion to complete this with his son Adam.
It is a sublime piece of work.

Leonard died in his sleep - he got up in the night, so we have been told, to have a piss. He fell over, returned to bed, and never woke again.
Perhaps we will hear another version later.

You Want It Darker is truly beautiful, to those who have long loved Leonard's authentic articulation of living with contradiction and longing.

last night, I dreamed I was speaking with his son , Adam.  We were back stage or behind the scenes at some event and he was sitting on benches, elbow on knee and chin on hand.  He explained to me that he was Leonard Cohen's son and I must've not believed or understood at first, because he repeated several times.  I'm not able to remember the conversation that followed, just that I sat and listened, quietly.  He was laid back, soft spoken, seemed kind.

Woke up and googled and the dream son looks, smiles, dresses talks and doesn't shave just like the real person.   
Didn't know he existed before the dream.
