As many know here, I never miss a chance to make some PR for Roxy Music. A group that made some magic LP's and recordings in the early 1970's and then had some hits. Well known Bryan Ferry on vocals and songwriter. The group had it's fashionable image of luxury and the cream of the cream in the London Jetset.

The First video is a fairly good revival, the other - pure nostalgic.

The Album Siren was the first album of the following decline that must come after such a brilliant start with three superb and outstanding albums but the opening track "Love is the drug" became a disco hit - as expected.

Roxy Music, Love is the drug, Album Siren, 1974

Love is the drug - Top of the Pops (2001)

Love is the drug - Nostalgic version from the early days

My fave was the album Avalon...

Artist:    Roxy Music
Album:    Avalon
Title:    More Than This

(ferry)

I could feel at the time
There was no way of knowing
Fallen leaves in the night
Who can say where they´re blowing
As free as the wind
And hopefully learning
Why the sea on the tide
Has no way of turning
More than this - there is nothing
More than this - tell me one thing
More than this - there is nothing
It was fun for a while
There was no way of knowing
Like dream in the night
Who can say where we´re going
No care in the world
Maybe i´m learning
Why the sea on the tide
Has no way of turning
More than this - there is nothing
More than this - tell me one thing
More than this - there is nothing

Now the party´s over
I´m so tired
Then i see you coming
Out of nowhere
Much communication in a motion
Without conversation or a notion
Avalon
When the samba takes you
Out of nowhere
And the background's fading
Out of focus
Yes the picture changing
Every moment
And your destination
You don´t know it
Avalon
When you bossa nova
There´s no holding
Would you have me dancing
Out of nowhere
Avalon
